Description

Some pH metres need a calibration point above neutral: that's where the Milwaukee pH 10.01 calibration solution (model MA9010) comes in, the alkaline standard that completes calibration alongside pH 4 and pH 7 solutions. It's part of the accessories for pH and EC metres.

When and how to use it

It's used to calibrate in the alkaline range, useful when measuring basic solutions or when your metre requires three-point calibration (4 / 7 / 10). It's a laboratory-grade solution and single-use only: don't reuse it or return it to the bottle, as this will skew the reading. Remember too that probes lose calibration easily, so it's worth repeating calibration regularly. For the other two points you'll need the pH 7.0 and 4.0 solutions.
