Description
A meter is only reliable if its probe is clean and properly calibrated. The Bluelab Probe Care Kit brings together in a single pack everything you need for complete maintenance of your pH and conductivity (EC) probes, whether Bluelab or another brand. It forms part of the accessories for pH and EC meters.
Why maintenance is important
A dirty or uncalibrated probe gives false readings, and with them poorly adjusted watering. With this kit you can clean the electrodes (a sudden drop in EC reading usually indicates it's time to clean), calibrate them with the pH 4.0 and 7.0 solutions included and keep them hydrated. Important: pH probes are always stored wet in storage solution, not in distilled water, which degrades the electrode over time; distilled water is only for quick rinses.
