Bluelab pH Electrode Storage Solution

A pH electrode that dries out loses accuracy —and sometimes becomes permanently damaged—. Bluelab's KCl Storage Solution prevents exactly that: it keeps the probe tip hydrated between measurements. It is compatible with Bluelab and any other manufacturer's meters.

Why it is essential

pH probes have a very delicate glass bulb that requires constant care: keeping it hydrated at all times, cleaning it frequently and recalibrating it often. Storing the electrode in this solution —never in distilled water, which degrades it— is the step that most extends its useful life and keeps your pH readings reliable.

How to use it

Fill the probe's protective cap with the solution and leave it on whenever the meter is not in use. After calibrating or measuring, rinse the tip and store it hydrated again. For the calibration process you will also need the pH calibration solutions.
