MONcontrol 25,000x (Transeius montdorensis)

MONcontrol 25.000 (Transeius montdorensis) is a predatory mite used for biological control of pests such as thrips and whitefly in horticultural and ornamental crops. It comes in a cardboard tube containing 25.000 individuals, effective for combating various pests in an environmentally friendly way.

MONcontrol is suitable for a wide variety of crops such as cucumber, pepper, bean, tomato, strawberry, gerbera, rose and chrysanthemum.

For preventive applications, between 20 and 150 individuals per square metre are recommended. In cases of more severe infestations, the dosage can be increased to between 80 and 200 individuals per square metre, depending on the pest level.

MONcontrol works best at a temperature of 27 °C and relative humidity above 70%. It should not be used if the temperature is below 10 °C, as this can affect the mites' ability to establish themselves and effectively control the pest.

Before application, it is important to homogenise the contents of the container by gently rotating it. The mites should be distributed directly onto the leaves in small piles. If sachets are used, they should be hung at mid-height on the plant, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight and heating pipes.

MONcontrol should be stored at a temperature between 15 and 18 °C and used within a maximum of 48 hours of receipt. Direct sunlight exposure and pesticide residues should be avoided.
