Description
Gavita Master Controller EL1 and EL2 Gen2 are centralised control systems for medium to large growing spaces with lighting equipment from the Pro Line E-Series range by Dutch manufacturer Gavita.
Some Gen2 improvements over the previous version:
- Non-volatile memory to store user configuration
- Event logging for (high/low temperatures, last auto-dim, last automatic shutdown, last power record with date and time)
- Separate and independent dusk/dawn function.
- Simple installation, all accessories are included.
- Independent cycles on EL2: allowing you to set different cycles, for example, 12/12 and 18/6
- ECM's (External Contact Modules) are programmable and used to turn auxiliary equipment on or off during the night/day period. In Gen2 you can choose whether to turn on or off and which channel they should follow. This allows more flexible integration and automation.
Gavita Master Controller is very easy to install and configure, with a bright green OLED display that clearly shows all provided information. An intuitive panel with 4 buttons. Includes blue and red LED lights that appear when there is a problem and are very quick to identify.
One of the advantages of the Gavita Master Controller is secure temperature control that allows ballasts to automatically reduce power if temperature exceeds a certain point and can even shut them down in case of danger.
The control signal transmitted to the ballasts from the controller is analogue and low voltage, so it is protected against signal loss. It also includes inputs (NO and NC) to integrate an alarm system that alerts in case of power loss, emergency shutdown or sensor failure.
Whether you control 40 or 1000 units, the Master Controller will do its job. The EL1 version allows you to control 40 units or 500 with appropriate repeaters. EL2 can control twice as many units and has an ECM socket that allows you to connect auxiliary equipment (CO2, heaters, etc).
High-quality anodised aluminium finish, clean and very compact.

This controller is perfect for small installations too. I have the EL2 controlling two small cupboards with two lights each and it works wonderfully
