Description
Encarsia Formosa is a parasitic wasp that controls whitefly in greenhouses (Trialeurodes vaporariorum). It belongs to the family Aphelinidae. The individuals measure approximately 0.6mm, with males slightly different from females. Female wasps are attracted to whitefly that secretes honeydew and lays an egg inside the larva. When this egg hatches, a wasp larva emerges and feeds on the whitefly larva.
