CRYPTOcontrol (Cryptolaemus Montrouzieri)

Cryptolaemus montrouzieri is a polyphagous predatory beetle. It controls pests such as mealybug and aphid efficiently. It also controls spider mite.

It usually measures around 13mm in length, although the adult is a beetle of 4mm in length. Its complete life cycle can be between 4 and 7 weeks, depending on temperature. Its development is about 8 days at 21°C and about 5 days at 27°C. Larval development occurs in about 32 days at 24°C and in 25 days at around 30°C.

The female mates shortly after emerging and begins laying eggs at 5 days, lasting about 50 days during which it can lay 400 eggs at a temperature of 25°C. A larva consumes more than 250 mealybug larvae.

Method of use:

• Use the product immediately upon arrival (18 hours maximum)
• If storing, keep in horizontal position, in darkness and at 10-15°C
• Place the container in horizontal position and rotate to homogenise contents before opening
• Hang the sachets over the plant, avoiding contact with heating pipes and protected from direct sunlight
• Dosage: 2-10 individuals/m2
