Description
VDL compressed coco brick is a product made from pressed coconut that, once submerged in water and hydrated, multiplies exponentially in size, becoming a coconut substrate ready to use.
The compressed coco brick is a very economical substrate and the easiest to transport, as thanks to its pressed form, its size is very small, yet when used it performs the same functions as regular coco.
The coco brick is made of 100% pressed coconut fibre.
How to use the compressed coco brick:
- Soak the brick in warm water (distilled or osmosis water is recommended) for approximately half an hour. Once the brick can no longer absorb water, begin to break apart the coco brick.
- Finally, drain it well and it will be ready to use.
- When you place the brick in water, it will multiply in size.
- The amount of water to add is not exact, and you will see it depending on how the product performs. It may be completely swollen with less water, or it may be drier and you may need to add more.
Coconut fibre is widely used by growers for its water retention, aeration and texture, and it also contains no minerals, making it a completely organic substrate. Ideal in its pressed format for easy transport, making it more economical.
Available in three sizes:
- 0.65kg suitable for 10 litres of water
- 2.5kg suitable for 40 litres of water
- 5kg suitable for 80 litres of water
