Chemdog

Chemdog remains, more than ten years after its launch, among the most popular cannabis varieties. Green House Seeds took a celebrated cut that circulated only as a clone and fixed it in feminised format.

On its palmares is the second place in the C-420 Growers Cup 2008. According to Green House, Chemdog combines OG Kush and Sour Diesel, and the bank's analysis shows 24.5% THC and 1.5% CBD, with a split of 70% indica and 30% sativa.

Long internodes, plenty of branches

Chemdog's structure is very reminiscent of OG Kush: long internodes and abundant branching. That's why it responds so well to ScrOG and LST, which open up the plant and make use of those branches. For working it horizontally, a SCROG net is the tool.

Indoors it flowers in nine weeks with up to 800 g/m² and tolerates medium to high EC levels. Outdoors it reaches 150–170 cm, can yield up to 1,000 grams per plant and is harvested in October. For soil growing you'll find more varieties of this size in feminised outdoor seeds.

Acidic first, diesel after

Chemdog's flavour is one of the most complex from the house. It starts with a sharp, lemony tone and shifts towards a pronounced diesel that lingers on the palate. The terpenes it expresses most are alpha-pinene, alpha-humulene and beta-caryophyllene, and the aroma is intense and pungent from flowering onwards.
