Description
The root doesn't absorb alone: it does so better when the substrate has life around it. Biobizz Microbes is a consortium of microorganisms, enzymes and beneficial fungi in powder form that acts on the rhizosphere, expanding the useful root surface so the plant can capture more nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and micronutrients with each watering. It's one of the few microorganisms in the catalogue that combines all three components in a single container.
What's inside Microbes
The four bacteria in the consortium are responsible for solubilising nutrients, especially phosphorus, and promoting phytohormones such as indole-3-acetic acid and gibberellins. In the guaranteed analysis, Bacillus velezensis and Bacillus licheniformis appear above 500 million CFU/g, Bacillus pumilus above 250 million and Bacillus megaterium above 200 million.
Trichoderma harzianum, with more than 10 million CFU/g, works in symbiosis with the plant: it competes with pathogens and harmful fungi whilst promoting root development and water retention. The enzymes complete the package by releasing amino acids into the medium, which accelerates substrate colonisation and makes organic nutrients available to the plant sooner.
How to apply it
The order of mixing matters. First prepare the water, then add the fertilisers from the Biobizz chart, then adjust the pH and finally add Microbes: weigh the exact grams, let it dissolve and stir for about two minutes before watering. Adding it before pH adjustment exposes the microorganisms to unnecessary corrections.
The general dosage is 0.2 to 0.4 g per litre, once per week, and can be increased to two applications per week during peak demand (weeks 2-3 and 5-6). It works indoors and outdoors, with manual irrigation, drip systems and hydroponics, and integrates seamlessly with the rest of the range, from Bio Grow to root stimulators.
A practical performance note: at those dosages, the 150 g container provides enough for between 375 and 750 litres of irrigation water.
Biobizz weekly schedule
This is the distribution set out in the official chart for a twelve-week cycle:
- Weeks 1 and 2: 0.4 g/L
- Weeks 3 and 4: 0.2 g/L
- Weeks 5, 6 and 7: 0.4 g/L
- Weeks 8, 9 and 10: 0.2 g/L
- Week 11: root flush with water only
- Week 12: harvest
