Sulfapron (Sulphur 72% p/v)

This fungicide-acaricide is mainly composed of sulphur and is recommended as both a preventive and curative measure against fungal diseases such as powdery mildew and is also very effective in the prevention and control of red spider mite. It acts effectively against all forms of powdery mildew and also has a significant impact on mite control.

Powdery mildew is a very common fungal disease that usually attacks young stems and leaves, producing a kind of white powder that sticks to the leaves and can weaken our plants, causing large losses in crops where it appears.

Its action is based on direct contact and the release of gaseous compounds, such as SH2, which form in the fungal mycelial cells and cause their destruction. In addition, it affects various metabolic processes of the pathogen, such as cellular respiration and the synthesis of nucleic acid and proteins. The preventive action of sulphur is exerted both before and during the germination of conidia and is related to its influence on respiratory processes.

Mode of use:

Add 2-6 ml of Sulfaprón per litre of water in foliar spraying.

• Cereals, against powdery mildew
• Deciduous fruit trees, against red spider mite, eriophyid mites and powdery mildew.
• Horticultural crops, against mites, red spider mite, powdery mildew and oidiopsis.
• Hops, against red spider mite and powdery mildew.
• Olive, against eriophyid mites.
• Woody ornamentals, against red spider mite and powdery mildew.
• Grapevine, against red spider mite, erinosis and powdery mildew.

Precautions:

• Do not apply to globe artichoke or to some varieties of fruit trees sensitive to sulphur, such as apricot, apple and pear trees.
• Do not apply to crops whose fruit is intended for preservation.
• Do not apply mineral oils during the 21 days before or after application of sulphur.
• Do not mix with oils or products with alkaline reaction, and do not carry out treatments at excessively high temperatures.
