X-Vape FOG Pro Vaporiser

Few portables cover both materials well. The X-Vape Fog Pro is the evolution of the original Fog and hits that exact spot: 100% convection heating, isolated air path, and a dedicated accessory for concentrates, all in a pocket-sized body. It's made by TopGreen, the same company behind the XMAX vaporisers.

Two materials, one device

Out of the box it works with dry herb in a 1.5 ml chamber (12.5 mm diameter by 12.5 mm tall), just the right size for a session without wasting material. For concentrates, you install the wax cup in that same chamber, and that's where the device becomes two-in-one.

It's worth knowing the limits: the manufacturer allows wax and extracts with the wax cup installed, but does not support oils or liquids. If your use is exclusively extraction, in vaporisers for concentrates there are specialist devices.

Convection, OLED display and session control

The OLED display shows temperature and device status, and the buttons let you adjust the temperature degree by degree within the working range TopGreen specifies, 180 to 220°C. Three clicks turn it on, and by combining buttons you can switch between 5 or 10-minute sessions and between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Heating is ready in about 10 seconds and never takes more than 15, with haptic feedback when the temperature is reached. For denser vapour, the manufacturer themselves recommend raising the temperature, taking slow and long draws, and not overloading the chamber: excess material heats unevenly and blocks the air path.

Removable 18650 battery

It has a 3,200 mAh 18650 battery, the largest in its range and also removable, so you can carry a spare instead of looking for a plug socket. The manufacturer calculates at least 6 sessions of 10 minutes at 220°C per full charge, and a lifespan of around 350 charge cycles.

It charges via USB-C in about 3 hours with a 5 V/1 A charger. The first charge is best left longer than 6 hours, and with chargers over 5 V/2 A the internal protection stops the process. It's not designed to be used whilst charging. If you prefer pure convection for dry flower only, the XMax V4 Pro from the same company follows that line.
