Description
Liquid Silicon is a silicate-based additive from English manufacturer Growth Technology. An essential product in any crop to combat periods of stress or pest problems and reinforce plant structure.
Silicon is an element available in commercial soils but not in coco substrates, expanded clay or rockwool, which are widely used in cultivation.
Plants use Silicon to reinforce cell walls (leaves and stems), protect themselves from diseases or external conditions in which they normally find it difficult to develop.
The proportion of Silicon we need to use is not included (and chemically impossible to include) in the base nutrients sold commercially, which is why it must be used as a complement.
The use of Liquid Silicon contributes to:
- Nutrient absorption and transport
- Reinforces cell walls
- Stimulates root mass development
- Helps increase pH levels (due to its basic pH level)
- Increases chlorophyll production and CO2 uptake
- Improves final harvest weight
Usage recommendations:
- Apply 0.5ml per litre of nutrient solution throughout the cultivation cycle, up to 2 - 3 weeks before harvest.
- In reverse osmosis systems or soft water, you can increase the dose up to 1ml per litre.
Manufacturer analysis:
- 6% Potassium Silicate (K 2SiO 3)
