Description
The Compact 720W is the entry point to the Lazerlite range from The Pure Factory: the same six-bar architecture on a 1,100 x 1,100 mm frame as the rest of the family, with two integrated drivers and 49 mm thickness. Among grow LED lights it is one of the 720 W units with the best ratio between flux and price.
Compact or Pro: what really sets them apart
Both luminaires are the same size and use the same Samsung diodes, so the difference is in quantity. The Compact has 2,160 Samsung LM281B+ Pro and 120 red 660 nm diodes; the Lazerlite 720W Pro goes up to 2,340 white diodes and, above all, nearly doubles the reds to 216. That's where the Pro's 2,232 µmol/s comes from versus this model's 2,120, a 5% more flux for the same power consumption.
Translated into a buying decision: if you're going to flower at the limit or work with CO2, that 5% pays for itself. If you're setting up a home grow tent and care about cost per watt installed, the Compact gives you practically the same light with 0.75 kg less hanging from the ceiling.
2,280 diodes and two 360 W drivers
The two 360 W drivers are integrated into the top crossbar, so there's no external box hanging around or high-voltage cable to find space for. It accepts input from 200 to 277 V, has a power factor above 0.9 and IP54 protection, sufficient for the humidity of a flowering room. The beam angle is 120° and it operates from -20 to 35 °C ambient temperature.
At 5.5 kg it is one of the lightest 720 W luminaires, a detail that matters if you're going to hang it from a grow tent's poles rather than a fixed structure.
Controlled from outside
This is the most important practical difference and it's worth being clear about before buying: the Compact does not have its own dimmer. Control is via 0-10 V through its RJ12 input and output ports, which means you need an external controller to lower the intensity during rooting or to increase it progressively during flowering.
That same connection allows you to chain several luminaires and control them all at once with a single controller, which is how a room is set up. The house accessory is the Lazerlite LED 0-10V Controller. If you need more power per light point, the range goes up to the Lazerlite Pro 1080W.
