Description
Rainbow Belts 2.0 is one of those genetics that everyone wants and almost no one can grow: a clone-only, that is, a selected clone that only circulates from cutting to cutting. TH Seeds has crossed it with their Original BubbleGum to put it into seed form, and in the process fixed what was missing.
An exclusive clone now in seed format
From the Rainbow Belts 2.0 side come the chewing toffee terpenes and the exotic colours at the end of flowering. From the TH Seeds Bubblegum side, which has been in their catalogue for three decades, come the sweet bubblegum base and, above all, the stability: lateral branching, flower density and a structure that the original clone didn't have.
Up the family tree is a who's who of modern sweetness: Rainbow Belts 2.0 comes from Zkittlez x Moonbow #75, with Grape Ape, Grapefruit and Do-Si-Dos behind it. The stated result is a 60% Indica / 40% Sativa.
Tree structure and pomegranate-shaped buds
It grows between 120 and 160 cm with a strong central stem and plenty of lateral branching, forming a canopy that the bank literally describes as a tree. The stretch is x2, with some phenotypes reaching x3, so most will double their height when entering flowering: do the maths before deciding when to switch the photoperiod.
The bank's recommendation is a single apical prune in vegetative and clean the inner branches to let light in, and it responds well to SCROG and LST. It finishes in 8 or 9 weeks yielding 500-600 g/m² in dense buds with a pomegranate shape. It's among the feminised indoor seeds with commercial-level production.
Bubblegum, gummy sweets and a light fizzy finish
The profile is straight out of a sweet shop: classic pink bubblegum wrapped in fruit gummy, with a light fizzy finish that prevents it from becoming cloying. In late flowering there are phenotypes that show purples, reds and oranges, which is what turns a good variety into one that sells itself in the window display.
The resin load is the other weighty reason. TH Seeds openly recommends it for solventless work —ice-o-lator, bubble hash, dry sift and rosin pressing—, so if you're going to wash it have your resin extraction kit ready.
One point that the bank does specify and that almost no one publishes: 12-14 days drying and another 10-15 days curing, with stable humidity. In a variety that's bought for the terpene, that's where you win or lose half the aroma.
