Description
TNC MycorHydro is a highly concentrated mycorrhizal inoculant developed specifically for use in hydroponic applications. It contains a combination of 15 species of mycorrhizae, 5 species of Trichoderma and 13 strains of beneficial bacteria from the genus Bacillus.
MycorHydro also contains a blend of amino acids, cytokinins, auxins, gibberellins, vitamins and trace elements derived from the seaweed Acophyllum Nodosum. These additional components contribute to healthy growth and development of hydroponic plants.
This complete product, based on beneficial microorganisms, is designed to promote optimal root development of hydroponic plants. The mycorrhizae present in MycorHydro form a symbiosis with the plant's roots, establishing a colony in the root zone. These mycorrhizae are characterised by having hyphae, microscopic filaments, which are extremely long and capable of transporting valuable nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements from a wide area of the growing medium to the host plant. This significantly increases the plant's nutrient absorption capacity compared to the root system alone.
In addition to mycorrhizae, MycorHydro also contains Trichoderma species, which are beneficial fungi, and beneficial bacterial strains from the genus Bacillus. These organisms play an important role in protecting roots against soil-borne diseases and promoting plant resistance to pathogens and unwanted fungi. The Trichoderma, in particular, have antagonistic properties and can destroy unwanted organisms in the root system and throughout the plant.
This product is especially suitable for use in hydroponic growing systems that employ media such as coco, expanded clay or rockwool. The application of MycorHydro in these systems can improve nutrient absorption efficiency, promote root health and increase plant resistance to diseases and pathogens.
