What is Gro-Silic from Grotek for

Silicon is a beneficial, though non-essential, element, meaning plants can complete their life cycle without it, but its incorporation significantly improves crop performance. The monosilicic acid content in Gro-Silic reinforces the integrity of plant cell walls, helping to resolve problems associated with excess nutrients or thermal stress. It is important to note that it should not be confused with the lower quality potassium silicate found in products such as Pro Silicate. 

Silicon also improves nutrient balance in the plant, delaying the appearance of deficiencies and excesses. In short, silicon simplifies fertiliser management, promotes thickening of plant stems, which reduces their tendency to bend, and decreases the need for supports and support nets.

When to apply Gro-Silic from Grotek:

Gro-Silic can be applied during all stages of plant growth, from germination to flowering. It is a product suitable for regular use and can be easily incorporated into your plant care routine.

Recommended dosage of Gro-Silic:

• Foliar application: Should be diluted at a ratio of 2ml per litre. For irrigation applications, dilute between 0.15 and 0.30 ml per litre.
• To avoid precipitation of other nutrients, it is recommended to add Grotek Gro-Silic to the nutrient tank and adjust the pH to the desired range before adding other nutrients. If you wish to incorporate it into an existing nutrient solution, dilute it first in a small amount of water.
• Make sure to check and adjust the pH to a range of 5.5 to 6.5 according to your crop's needs.
