Description
Two signature lineages in a single cross: the original Sunset Sherbet provided by Silent Seeds and the phenotype no. 11 from Banana Shack. From that second branch comes the GMO that gives Garlic Sherb its name: a savoury, garlicky terpene profile that dominates the blend and is supported by the sweetness of the Sherbet.
Garlic Sherb Growing Characteristics
In vegetative stage it shows vigorous growth and generous lateral development, so it responds very well to pruning and training to distribute light across all branches. When the photoperiod changes, it stretches up to 2.5 times, a figure worth bearing in mind when calculating available height: switching to 12/12 earlier than usual prevents running out of space.
Flowering completes between 55 and 65 days depending on the phenotype. Vegetative mass is generous: it easily exceeds 1 kg per 1.2 x 1.2 m tray, equivalent to around 700 g/m².
Garlic Sherb Extraction Yield
For those washing, what matters is the return. Garlic Sherb has plenty of phenotypes yielding 4–6 % WPFF, that is, 4 to 6 grams of hash per 100 grams of Fresh Frozen flower, with a mesh spectrum of 45 to 150 microns. These figures are obtained under optimal growing and processing conditions, the same method Grand Cru Genetics uses to publish the rest of its catalogue.
Garlic Sherb Aromas and Terpenes
The profile opens with candy, the clear heritage of the Sherbet, and soon the sweet, gassy background appears with fruity notes. Underneath sits the savoury note from the GMO, which is what gives this variety character and sets it apart from a simple sweet.
That gassy branch is also recognisable in Tropicana Shack, the other variety in the catalogue built on Banana Shack.
