When what you weigh is measured in tenths, a 0.1 g scale falls short. The Fuzion RX-200 works with a resolution of 0.01 g over a maximum capacity of 200 g, the usual balance in pocket precision scales: less weight ceiling, more detail in the reading.

What changes weighing at 0.01 g

A hundredth of a gram is the difference between estimating and measuring. With that resolution it makes sense to weigh extractions, dose powder fertilisers, monitor small samples or keep track of a pheno-hunt gram by gram, because the relative error in weights of a few grams ceases to be significant.

The price to pay is the ceiling: 200 g. If you need to weigh larger quantities, the Fuzion RX-1000 reaches 1,000 g with 0.1 g readings, and the Fuzion PT-500 maintains 0.01 g up to 500 g.

Construction and handling

The folding lid protects the platform from bumps and scratches when travelling in a rucksack or drawer, and doubles as a tray when opened. Underneath, the platform is stainless steel, which cleans with a cloth without leaving residue.

The backlit LCD display reads effortlessly in low light. It incorporates tare to deduct the weight of the container, piece counting function, overload warning, calibration with standard weights and automatic shut-off after a few minutes of non-use. It runs on two AAA batteries and Fuzion backs it with 10 years' warranty, something uncommon among precision scales in this range.
